Storm/Non-Commercial Property Damage Claims Information

What is arbitration?

Arbitration is a trial-like process of resolution.  It is quick, practical and inexpensive. The parties each make a presentation of evidence to the arbitrator. The arbitrator then makes a final binding decision, which can be enforced in court.

What is ADR Systems’ role in the arbitration process?

ADR Systems of America is a private, independent mediation and arbitration services provider.  We coordinate the arbitration hearing beforehand but will not be present during the arbitration.  We assist the plaintiff in selecting a neutral arbitrator, and then we assist in selecting a date and time that works well for the parties involved.

What does the hearing process entail?

Both sides will be allowed to present their position regarding the claim, including introducing supporting information.  The arbitrator will then consider all of this information and inform ADR Systems of his/her decision.  Arbitrators are not allowed to relay a decision at the arbitration.  Instead, ADR Systems will inform the parties of the decision in writing.
