ADR Systems congratulates Hon. Joseph N. Casciato, (Ret.) for settling a head-injury case for $8.8 million.

The case involved a 44-year-old man who suffered head injuries when a school bus struck him in April 2009 on Austin and Diversey avenues.

“The bus company admitted liability,” reported the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, “but disputed the extent of the disability and the need for a caregiver. The parties scheduled a trial on damages for next month.

“But they participated in a mediation session with Joseph N. Casciato of ADR Systems of America. They reached the settlement Monday [May 7, 2012] after an all-day mediation.”

settlement of a wrongful death and personal injury case involving a
motor vehicle accident.

The plaintiffs were the families of two pedestrian children who were struck by a motor vehicle, resulting in the death of one child and injuries to the other child.
