Neutrals

Hon. Lynn M. Egan, (Ret.)

IL

Judge Egan brings her unabashed enthusiasm, intellect and a compassionate drive to her practice as a senior mediator and arbitrator. For decades, she has demonstrated her commitment to helping parties with the voluntary resolution of cases. As a judge in the Circuit Court of Cook County, hundreds of pending cases from the Chancery and Law Divisions were transferred to her for settlement conferences. Judge Egan has expertise in resolving personal injury actions such as medical and dental malpractice, construction and auto accidents, product liability and premises liability, as well as commercial disputes such as contract, legal and accounting malpractice, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, wrongful termination, employment and discrimination.

A pillar of the legal community, Judge Egan is described by colleagues as an accomplished jurist of character and consistency. She has given back to the profession in a variety of ways, including serving as a member of several Illinois Supreme Court committees, serving as a mentor to new judges and serving as faculty for many legal education forums. Since 2012, she has developed and presented popular, substantive CLE programs and has personally provided more than 13,000 hours of free CLE credit to Illinois attorneys as a registered CLE provider.
