Gary M. Ropski, Esq. Wins Second Place in Patent Cup

In April of 2015, senior mediator and arbitrator, Gary M. Ropski., won second place in the 27th annual Patent Cup Sailing Competition.  The Patent Cup is an international sailing competition for patent attorneys and professionals.  The race takes place in a different country every year, with this year’s competition taking place in Cape Town, South Africa.  Mr. Ropski, representing Team USA, won alongside fellow team members, Marcus J. Thymian and S. Richard Carden, of McDonnell, Boehnen, Hulbert & Berghoff, LLP.

Gary M. Ropski, Esq., is a senior mediator and arbitrator at ADR Systems and an attorney at Brinks, Gilson & Lione.  Mr. Ropski has more than 35 years of experience in intellectual property law, and has a well-known reputation in Illinois, as well as internationally.  Throughout his career, Mr. Ropski’s clients, peers, and colleagues have recognized his prowess as a trial and appellate lawyer in patent, trademark and copyright matters.  In mediation and arbitration, his extensive and varied experience in intellectual property litigation allows him to bring special insight to each case.
