ADR News: $3M Settlement

ADR Systems congratulates Hon. Edward Burr (Ret.) on his recent settlement of a personal injury case involving a motor vehicle accident.

The plaintiff was severely injured and it was a difficult case to mediate, with the mediation lasting over seven hours. Through Judge Burr’s skill and expertise, the case was settled, to everyone’s satisfaction, for $3,000,000 through non-binding mediation at ADR Systems

Since retiring from the bench in 2006, Judge Burr has successfully mediated many complex,multi-party disputes, and adjudicated numerous matters in arbitration both as the sole arbitrator and as the third arbitrator in tri-panel situations. Having achieved a notably high settlement rate, he is often sought out for his skills as a mediator, arbitrator, Special Master, Neutral Fact Finder and CLE speaker.
